ACUPUNCTURE - Traditional Chinese Medicine or “TCM” theory is based on the primary relationship of Yin and Yang, the five elements, Zang-Fu, Qi, Blood, essence, and body fluids. There are twelve regular meridians, eight extra meridians, twelve divergent meridians, fifteen collaterals, twelve muscle meridians, and twelve cutaneous regions. Differentiations of syndromes or imbalances are based on these theories. Tongue and Pulse is also included.
HERBAL CLINIC - Formulas come in the form of powders which the patient mixes with a small amount of warmed water or honey. Baihui has created its own specialty formulas that have been designed by Diane M. Morgan and are available only through this clinic.
MOXIBUSTION - or (moxa) means the application of heat to an area for the purpose of
treating disharmonies. The
term moxibustion is derived from the Japanese term “MOE KUSA” which
means burning herb.
Indications: asthma, arthritis, vomiting, diarrhea, rheumatic pain, abdominal
pain, infertility.
CUPPING - Cupping is a therapeutic treatment which can be used alone or in combination
with moxa and acu-therapy to enhance treatments. The function of cupping is to warm, move
Qi and move the blood in the meridians. Cupping can create slight
bruising. Cups
can be moved up and down the back with oil to pull out stagnation in
the body. Cups are placed against the skins surface and a partial
vacuum is created.
Indications: Headache, cough, asthma, arthritis, indigestion, colds, poison
snake bite.
TUI NA - Tui
Na is a Chinese Medical Massage that is used with specific hand techniques
to move Qi and Blood. Pediatric
massage or Tuina is a useful therapy for children from birth to approximately
twelve years of age. This is a distinct specialty within Chinese
medicine because children present a different energetic framework than
adults. Adults can be treated with Tuina as well. Pediatric
massage techniques offer a way to influence the energetic qualities of
the child without the invasiveness of acupuncture.
Indications of pediatric disorders: abdominal distension, asthmas, bronchitis
(acute), colic, cough, diarrhea and others.
REIKI - The process of connecting the Universal Life Force Energy by using touch therapy and long distance healing treatments to help accelerate the body’s own homeostatic process. Reiki revitalizes cells, balances the energy of the body and helps to facilitate the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual clearing of issues from the body. Treatments can be given anywhere and the patient remains fully clothed. Sessions last 60 minutes. Diane has been a Reiki Master since 1995 and teaches students individually or in groups.
JIN SHIN JYUTSU - Soft touch hands-on-therapy uses acupressure points along the body. Sessions last 60 minutes. Jin Shin Jyutsu is the Cosmic Artless Art of Knowing How To Help Myself. Master Jiro Murai of Japan devoted his lifetime to the research of the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu. For many centuries, the art of Jin Shin was passed on verbally generation to generation. Patients remained fully clothed during treatments.
